Anyone got a parachute canopy I can borrow?
#1
Not for chucking myself off a building I hasten to add....
I need one to use as a canopy over my back garden. Dont need the harness, just the canopy to cover it over and throw a party underneath. Kinda like a marquee but cheaper and easier to put up
Does anyone have one I can borrow? I'm in the surrey area so somthing close would be nice. If not, does anyone know where I can get one on the cheap?
Cheers in advance,
astraboy.

Astraboy,
Best bet is from an Army Surplus store. You can get one for £30 here http://www.the-outdoor.co.uk/ishop/853/shopscr247.html
Get some para cord to tie it down; it's strong stuff.

I'll ask around at work as there may be some lifex'd ones around - couldn't guarantee anything though.
Failing that you could try some military surplus places. They can usually get hold of lifex'd ones for a reasonable price.

LOL.
It infects your life.....saying things "standby" when on the phone or taking the car into the garage and telling them it's "u/s"
FrP - whereabouts do you lay your hat the most?
As for the chutes - no word yet I'm afraid. If I can get hold of one it may be quite, er, large. Sort of a landrover-on-pallet-out-of-back-of-aircraft size parachute.....
Will advise.
