The BBC have been in touch with me regarding virus hoaxes. They're looking to interview someone - along with myself - who's acted on a hoax virus warning causing damage/time waste bla bla bla. This is to be broadcast on BBC 2, so anyone looking for that 15 minutes of fame feel free to email me Jclark@nai.com

My father in law acted on the "Delete jdbgmr.exe". The exe has a teddy bear for an icon. Quite funny at the time, especially when he sent it on to all his business contacts.

Nice try Michelle, but the apostrophe was still wrong. Next time, try 'virii'.

Jack, haven't got a punter, but as UK PR for F-Secure it's a great PR opportunity. Good luck & nice one

Still no takers yet? Like I say email if interested. Matt, your Dad sounds ideal.

Michelle/Marko it's Viruses! No such thing as Virii.

Craig, not hearing much from F-Secure in the UK, fancy letting me know current plans

Talking

I worked for a company who got a virus and sent it all over the world due to a rather full address book! It took me 2 days to sort it out, which was cool because I was doing consultancy work!

I always check the McAfee website before warning anyone of a virus, or virii because they have a good list of hoaxes.

Hope there's no spelling mistakes here!

I am no expert, but I cleaned it up a treat and tried to encourage the company to get their AV software updated every week, which was like banging my head against a brick wall.
