Listening to radio about Goverment thinking about making car drivers responsible for any accident with a cyclist.

I'm a bike MTB rider..sure I think the roads could be safer!! But not saying that all riders are good riders...... ALL riders should have 3rd party insurance if you ask me.Its Crazy to blame all accidents on the car driver

I think this was discussed a few weeks ago and it's more complicated than that. I can't remember the details (hopefully someone on here can) but what you've heard sounds very much like it's been taken well out of context!

There was indeed a rather heated thread on this topic a few weeks back. It sounded to me as though the facts were (potentially) missing or distorted. Another version of the story implied that it was just going to make it mandatory for insurance policies to include third party liability to cyclists, which doesn't necessarily mean a guaranteed payout in the event of an accident, or the automatic assignment of blame.

And you'll probably break the front splitter... It's seen too much glue lately... Grrr
