Ralf Schumacher has launched a scathing attack on the British press, accusing them of having a vendetta against both him and his brother Michael.

Schumacher said Britain’s lack of a truly world class driver was the reason for the widespread antipathy towards him and Michael.
He said: "Maybe you're all frustrated that you haven't got a real champion to get excited about."

What a to$$pot!

Agreed -- Schumacher is a gifted driver but will NEVER be a great champion, 'cos when the pressure is *really* on (against Damon in '94 and Villeneuve in '99), he becomes a cheating tw@t.

And what happened earlier this year with Barrichello being forced to let him through doesn't help his reputation any.

My vote would be Mansell and Hill at McLaren, Montoya and Barichello at Williams and the brothers grim at Ferrari. Now that'd be a season worth watching.

Oh and Ferrari should be forced to use Michelin intermediates exclusively (everyone else goes back to Bridgestone) and they should be forced to replace Ross Braun with Murray Walker.

Also every race should be at Silverstone and Bernie should be forced to cycle in every time.

Question

What excuse does he use when the Luxembourg press call him a cheating SOB?

And you believe everything the press say? Something like "the british press dont say much about us" is soon changed by the tabloids to "arrogant german tossers slag brits off".

If they were english you lot couldnt get enough.

And referring to Schumacher cheating - Senna did it with Prost and Hill drove into Schumacher at least twice that I can remember.

P1fan -- true, but Senna had the ***** to admit he took Prost off deliberately, and Hill just crashed it 'cos he's like that sometimes

Fair points, but in those days that would earn you respect. If Schumacher had admitted such a thing no doubt there would have been serious repercussions with the FIA which may have altered the outcome of the championship. At the end of the day Schumacher won that season fair and square so it all panned out as it should.
