Identify the vehicle from these bits.
Someone has reversed into my wall and done a runner. It's done quite a bit of damage so would like to know who did it. CCTV points the other way so missed the event, but may spot the vehicle driving past if I have an idea what car to look for.
They've left a bit of their rear driver's side lamp behind.
First thought was a Freelander 2, but that's not the same...any ideas?

Found it! FFS, it's actually pretty obvious, but for anyone who is bored I'll leave it for a bit before giving the answer.

One point for German.
Another clue is it's made between 2004 and 2010 (but most will be registered as 05 to 59 plate).

Based on country of origin and age, I'm going to say Audi A6 Allroad.

Nope: Stick with VW.
Model is still being made of course, just the rear lights are particular to the mentioned year range.
Reported damage to the police today; Just a simple online form, so at least I have a reference number to throw at the insurance company if I decide to make a claim on my home insurance.

On my desk.
The only clear bit on outer glass is the round bit that covers the brake/indicator. It looks red because there is another coloured lens beneath it, sort of like lexus lights.
(I previously took one apart to see if I could swap the lens for one off a Altea as that has a spiral pattern when illuminated).

Can we have a before and after pic of the offending wall - just to verify condition before the supposed incident took place

Its also silver (found flecks of paint on the wall).
The neighbourhood online group chat already pointed that I also own a silver a Mk5 Golf.
But mine clearly has no damage
