Default Obtaining deleted text messages without icloud

A few months ago I damaged a nerve in my arm which resulted in it being difficult for me to write and hold things.

I recently ended my contract with three to get a newer phone for cheaper (swapping from iPhone to samsung) so began moving my information off the phone to PC.

Stupidly I completely forgot that for the last few months ive been writing my daily diary entries in a text message to myself rather then writing in my diary.

I wiped my iphone and restored it ready for resale and realised what I had done
Messages gone.

I don't back up to iCloud so cant do a recovery that way.

I tried doc-fone and that didn't work.

I've called three who said they cant see the messages but is there a way me the owner of these messages can obtain the content?

Can you help?

Do you have any local back ups of your iPhone in iTunes? If so a restore might grant you access assuming it includes messages (I don't have an iPhone so not sure if they do) other than that besides an expensive data recovery solution I'm not sure.

I think 3 only keep records of dates, times and numbers of text messages but a subject access request of all your data from 3 will include everything they have as they have to provide everything they have by law.

Failing that contact the ghcq and ask for all the secret surveillance data they hold on you haha (this would not work, I doubt they'd even confirm having such data being the organisation they are)

Update: tried every online scanner that says it will recover texts and they have all failed. I've even contacted the one that wants $80 for the full version to unlock it and they cant promise anything.

I phoned three who said they only have a record of the text sent but when he asked what was in the messages I felt like he could see the messages.

I went onto an online chat who said the police can request the content - which means they have it!
I'm going to see if I can write to three and request it like you say under the freedom of information act.

If that fails the wife is going to stab me and get the police to recover my messages ro prove I was ******** her sister. She doesn't have a sister but it has to be worth a shot.

I highly doubt the police would request them on my behalf just because I want them.

GDPR subject access request - but note - We store records of incoming calls, texts and other messages (but not the content of them) for a 12-month period only. ... Those that are recorded are generally only retained for up to 12 months (it can be less, depending on the nature of the call).

iPhones are brilliant for being secure, and very. very difficult to recover from. Sorry mate.
