Default Breaking the law as a child.

I’ve just finished watching a series called safe and it turned out very dissapointing...

but one aode story story line was of some children / teens burning down a school and never being caught. Fast forward 30yrs and new evidence gets them caught.

would they be tried as adults or wouldnit go to kiddy court?

excellent question and it seems to depend on the crime and the age it was committed. Anything under 10 and the child is essentially seen to not have criminal responsibility or at least from what I've read.

However it is possible to be tried as an adult for a crime as a child and go to prison.. scary thought ..

Only if you would have been tried as an adult if caught and prosecuted immediately after committing the offence, which is pretty rare in the UK (but quite commonplace across the pond). What matters is age at the time of the offence, not at the time of arrest or prosecution.

Not in England and Wales, it doesn't. Unless you can suggest a specific exception(s) where this isn't true?

It's a series called safe. As per teens they burn a school down killing 12 people.
in midlife it comes out and one goes about killing to stop it coming out.

if the law is that they would be tried as a child years later then they should have just come out rather then murdering.

note* I've used the word one & they just in case you want to watch it.

Except for the one who goes on to commit further murders, they'd be looking at around 10 years inside, due to the original arson being committed as teens, instead of nearer 25, if they'd been adults at the time:
