They are everywhere.
They Are feared by the public.
They have a very high result rate.Maybe 80%+
They are backed up better than the Police in Law.
No smart assed lawyer can get you of a fine.
They cost less.
If they can have the effect that they do, on crime .Then I'm all for it...

Lat time i walked into a police station to report a crime the person behind the counter who took my statement WAS a traffic warden.
I'd say their takeover is already on it's way!.........

They already have done so near me!!
There is a local chip shop where lots of people park illegally whilst purchasing their fodder. They mount the pavement, park on double yellows and cause obstructions that would stop fire engines or ambulances getting through.
The Police know about this, but are powerless to do anything
Why? - because Birmingham City Council has "contacted out" the enforcement of parking to some external company. Only the said company can nick people. However they never have any wardens in the area, and don't even know when they might be patrolling. I suppose that they can't cost-justify having a warden by the chippy, when there are far more lucrative areas to target.
What a crazy world - drivers break the law and yet the POLICE of all people can't do anything about it.
Sadly, these days it is no longer what is right, proper, sensible or whatever, but what makes a profit
