"exegete" a person who interprets text, especially scripture. its a noun, no such word as exegeted.

Isn't it funny, if one person says they have an imaginary friend, they're classed as a nutter, but if a group of people say the same thing, it's called a religion.

Religion. This biggest con ever.

If it wasn't religion people would just find something else to fight over. Wouldn't change anything.

Yep, but it would at least be something materialistic, not something that is make-believe and nobody has ever seen.

Not an opinion at all. Anyone ever seen god? Spoken to him / her / it? I mean a two-way conversation / meeting, and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of religious types who believe they've seen/spoken with god.

But isn't that the very definition of faith, placing your trust in that which is intangible.

Someone said to me a long time ago when drawing a parallel to faith in God, that you cant see the wind, but you know it is there as you can see the effect of the wind and feel its presence, meaning that God can not been seen out touched, but the effect of faith in God should be visible through the lives of those who believe in Him.

I do believe God exists, and is real - I however intently dislike organised religion or religous grooming.

Funnily enough JT we have slipped into a God debate ;-)

I always think it is funny in this age of computers where God is no longer important, that non believers still pop along to church for their weddings and a bit of solace for a funeral.

Strange. When I see kids with cancer on the TV, some of whom would DEFINATELY have been christened, I don't see a god?
