Default Import tax : Singapore - Uk

Will I have to pay import tax for receiving goods from Singapore that is a private sale? So essentially like someone sending me a gift?

Value of said items is £550.

Cheers

they would need to mark it as a gift on the front ,, if they add a value you will end up paying tax

However, if rated zero value and it goes missing you can't claim

phone up tax office and ask. It may not be much and worth paying to obviate any problems. you might ask seller to use a courier rather than general post.
