Turkish Barbers
For the first time yesterday I had the unadulterated pleasure of attending a Turkish Barbers. We're talking proper Turkish coffee, genuine Turkish Delight, an assortment of creams and balms slathered all over my neck and head, a fantastic haircut (I've not seen a barber pay so much attention), cutthroat beard removal, more creams and balms, steamy towel wrap and so on. The gent also set fire to my ears and then, much to my surprise, gave me a deeply relaxing head, neck and face massage. I was in the chair for over an hour and the whole thing set me back £30 and a healthy tip. Looking forward to my next visit! Does anyone else go Turkish?

Glad you enjoyed your Turkish shave, James. My Turkish experience is limited to eating chocolate coated Turkish Delight wrapped in pink foil (from British shops). I've received real TD sweets as gifts, but didnt find the authentic thing appealing to my taste. Mind you, Turkish food at a restaurant, situated in our nearby sleepy town, is something very special. They serve fantastic grilled meat dishes!

Massages are always good! I had loads in Thailand. One masseur told me during the massage that she was a ladyboy, and had an English boyfriend in London. She looked like a dainty female model, but her tough hands were a little too harsh for my back.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean, but if it's some sexual joke (sorry, if it's not) , then some utter idiot will laugh out aloud at it. If not, please feel free to explain.
Reading your comment again, no, I didn't drop any tip. I gave her what the price of the massage was. Thai ladyboys are more of the British men's attraction, not of any interest in 'that way' for an Indo-British woman.
