Farmer alcazar
The family who live in our hamlet (three houses, one empty, being renovated), have gone to Italy for a fortnight in their camper van. There's only me within half a mile. VERY quiet at night.
They have left me in charge of a horse, (Miss Tick), a donkey, (Dora), six chickens and a cat, plus overall responsibility for her garden, LOL.
Just call me farmer alcazar.
So far, no probs, the horse hasn't bitten me or kicked me yet, but I'm careful round her and she's quite gentle. I also bring apples and carrots......
The most difficult thing is getting her to wear the mesh mask she needs against flies on her eyes. She's OK once it's on her head, stands while I tie it, but doesn't like me putting it on her.

Farmer alcazar, this thread is nothing without pictures or youtube vids. I'd like to see you being kicked or at least bitten by the horse Miss Tick while you put the mesh mask on her.
I'm only joking.
What's the cat's name, btw? Hope it's not as cheesy as Miss Tic.

It's a she. The cat is called Simba, about twelve years old.
I thought one of the chickens was ill, she's not moved for two days. So today, feeling sorry for her, I tempted her with some corn...when she stood up, she's been sitting on two eggs, the little devil. Now removed. She must be broody. There's a plastic egg she can sit on.
I'll see if I can get pics of the horse and the donkey, but I've not seen the cat for two days. And the chickens aren't photogenic. Plus they are just chickens. But funny. When they run, which they do towards me when they see me coming because I bring food, they look like someone running with his arms behind his back.
