My current policy is about to run out and i've started from scratch with a new quote as we've made a few changes.
The house is a 4 bed detached in Harrogate.
Based on £35k contents and a rebuild cost of £200k my cheapest quote has come back as circa £96. Not one to moan but this seems on the cheap side to me.
I know many of you guys have had claims for house insurance so was wondering if there are any insurers to avoid.
My Cheapest 3 quotes are within £3 of each other and are, QuoteMeHappy.com, Privilege and Churchill.

On another note - i've walked round the house adding everything up and my contents comes out at £28k.
If my house burnt to the ground, how on earth would i prove that this is the case or as i've paid for insurance for £35k, i'd get £35k. I find this hard to believe.
