Default Starting car with a charger

Would it be possable to start a car by connecting a battery charger in place of a battery ?

As above,just charge the battery or buy a new one,not expensive.

It was just to save me pushing the car out the garage and back in again , battery is on charge at the moment ,

I did try it before I got any reply , it did power up the dash but not enough to start the car , it just made a dodgy noise

Charger will trickle mate. If you try and put that much load on it all of a sudden you will potentially ruin the charger or **** some electrics up so don't. If you look at the thickness of the cars battery cable and then the thin leads on a car battery charger the problem should be clear
