Cool UKIP being taken out of context yet again.

The very discrimination laws brought in to protect these people are now the very ones being used against the indigenous population every time.

He has a point here:

I listened to Farage this morning on the radio on this issue; and whilst the argument he articulated was perfectly reasonable, it didn’t actually add up, and was disingenuous.
UKIPs policy is to leave the EU, not to change employment law. Employment law would be repatriated to the UK if we left the EU anyway. So why was he even talking about this?
Isn’t this is the usual ‘dog whistle’ politics designed to fire up the masses.

You mean he's playing the cheating lying scum of the other parties at their own game? Good on him!

I think he knows that UKIP Aren't going to form the next government, so the status quo on the EU membership, favouring those ON the gravy-train, remains in place.

I reckon he's after what to do if we have to stay.

Farage is actually spot on. Or was, the interview they are referring to was six months ago, but dug up to create a hoo ha closer to the election.

The employment regulations are totally ineffective as no employer will offer a job to someone he neither likes nor respects, for whatever reason. The real racists are those who make choices only on the grounds of race, and I'd agree with Nigel that most of that is in the past, or a pointless distraction considering you can't legislate effectively anyway. Those with any sense know that the best result for your business is to be found amongst those who can do the job and do it well. Race doesn't come into it, unless it's compounded by language barriers, which DOES come into it.
The real racists are also those who keep banging on about it, instead of actually treating everybody who has a right to be in this country the same, as Nigel does.

I watched this earlier, i`m most impressed by the way he kept his cool while the interviewer was obviously trying to put words in his mouth and hoping he would trip up.

Quite. It seems modern media is a game to try an trip up the interviewee rather than getting at the truth unfortunately.

To my mind this is, and always was, going to be as far as he gets

Attempting to prioritise home grown for a good look in at employment, whilst putting the fear into them that the foreign worker is almost bound to be more hungry better qualified and more willing

Along with an insistence on reducing / not pandering to every new whim the EU sloths want to impose

( just like every other country in Europe )

Nigel would run ring around the other political party's
Common sense policies
In carlisle ward last year Ukip were second in 11 wards out if 16 and 3rd in 4 wards

Actually had more combined votes in all wards then Tories by 10% and 16% more then
Labour the tide is changing
Going to be a good campaign

Well I hope so, in reality I suspect it will be a dirty one. Mind you with the constant media manipulations becoming more obvious, it will be interesting! See the comments in http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-31846453

Yes , but he doesn't have any other policies .
He's also still harbouring some really weird candidates back there.
And the employment thing is wishful thinking , just that . It's English psyche to follow every letter of the law.

Ah it's all right, UKIP a will invariably shoot themselves in the foot a few times before polling day.

Weird? Like the Labour councillor who claims to have been abducted by aliens?

There are some VERY strange people in ALL parties...why aren't the press/media finding them?

Don't be so bloody stupid - that's the sort of ignorant tripe I'd expect from Martin. To avoid displaying your ignorance in public again in such an embarrassing manner, read this http://www.ukip.org/policies_for_people

See if UKIP could get away from the whole EU crap and talk about something else, then they might get a few more votes from the more sensible portions of society because some of there policies are actually pretty reasonable.

And that Harriet (I leave the scene of motoring accidents so as NOT to be breathalysed) Harmon, is still high up in the Labour party?

Or that Boris is Lord Mayor of London?

Come off it Martin, they are everywhere.
