Honeycomb Sweets
My partner loves the above so I want to get him some for Valentines.
Don't want any cheap crap so any recommendations as to where best to buy some from?
Thank you.
Also I would like some of the proper Jelly Beans so if they sold them too even better.

Lou, my next door says that Mr. Stanleys are a good one. You can find that as well as many other sorts on Amazon. Other than that, you can try Nigella's recipe to make the sweets yourself, and present it the way you want.

Latter sounds exciting, because you put your own effort into making it. I'd give it a trial run before finalising; just to see if it comes out to be any good. I'd keep some
Mr. Stanley's for contingency; in case the Hokey Pokey doesn't work out.

Honeycomb is easy. Just be careful when you add the bicarb!
We make it on an industrial scale. If you have access to a temp probe then take the sugar / water / syrup mix up to 150c. Remove from the heat and let the liquid settle for a few minutes. Add the bicarb, and give it a good old mix. Simples
Edited to add: we use glucose instead of Golden Syrup so you may have to knock a few degrees off the temperature!

Hm. I can imagine honeycomb sweets bits tasting very nice with or in Haagen-Dazs ice cream. I love it when fairly smooth and delicious ice cream randomly presents crunchy bits. I wait for that in my mouth. I am one person who will be terribly disappointed when I lose my teeth at my old age. I like crunching very much, and I'll miss it. Artificial teeth don't seem to be so trustworthy. Mother in-law's keep falling out of her mouth, even when she giggles hard.

The ingredients do make you think that all it is is sugar with even more sugar with a pinch of bicarb. Nutrition value ain't much in it. Looks and tastes quite effective as a finished product, though.

I had it at skool .
Tried to reproduce it the other month , Christ it was disgusting ( lots Brown sugar with molasses on top , all mixed together)
No wonder my teeth are not perfect
Enjoyed it back then though
