I think it's relative. If you're a Zionist, it's moral and right. If you're a Palestinian it's abhorrent. If you're pro-Israel you accept expansion as necessary, if you're pro-Palestinian you protest against it. I understand this is called moral relativism. I support Israel.

I'm looking at this as a secularist and as somebody that espouses market-led liberal democracy. The only cogent position is for me to support Israel.

This is a massive theological question and good men disagree on the issue. What I do know is that if the Muslims and Jews adhered to the teachings of Jesus Christ, the conflict wouldn't exist.

Stop going on about the imaginary guy in the sky, bottom line is that Israhell are doing what the ***** done to them, stealing land and killing when it suits them! They are the main aggressor in that part of the World and there is no justification in their actions towards the Palestinians and other Arabs in that area of the World.

Have you seen it on the map?
What baffles me is that people like Maz post this stuff but ignore what ISIS is doing to Christians in Iraq at the moment, which amounts to ethnic cleansing. More than a million of fled their homes and in the words of The Pentagon is "beyond anything we have seen before".
A more interesting issue is why people like Max have a boner for the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

There are only a few fanatics who believe in the idea of a Greater Israel. The settlements in the West Bank take advantage of a different logic which is more about security and displacing a hostile population away from Israel's borders (and providing a buffer), a population which is unwanted by both Israel and the Arabs. Did you know that the Arab world gives the children of Palestinian refugees refugee status, not citizenship of whatever state they live in? The rich gulf states could have resettled them years ago.

Main aggressor? Israel was attacked on the very night it came into existence, and for a supposed expansionist state is TINY.
