Any Snow?

Yes, it has been snowing randomly here. Hailstorms keep jingle-belling outside as well. And the mighty winds, gosh! They're gonna shatter our garden fence again at this speed. Cats are staying in a lot.

I wish I had 4 B 4 for snow. I'm going to have to get one of them for times like this. Mind you, if I had winter tyres for my 2 B 2, I think I could have been flying about as usual.

It's snowing quite heavily here in Preston right now, but has been on and off in bursts all day so hasn't really settled. Maybe an inch at the most.
However the surrounding areas have been hammered I believe Blackburn has a lot at the moment and I'd imagine it's pretty awesome up in the Lakes about now.

Enough for a little car park fun using 2wd in the 4x4 lol.....
I did drive from our village to Birmingham earlier to drop the wife off (snow and driving isn't her thing) and as I got towards Bham the snow disappeared and it was as if it never happened.

We've had some.
Anyone else had the Thunder-snow?
We've had it twice. yesterday I sat, reading, looked up to see a black cloud on the horizon, but bright sunshine here.
Within TEN minutes, it hit: massive blizzard that brought visibility down to about 50 feet, huge lightning fork and bang preceding it. It snowed powder for ten minutes, huge flakes for ten minutes, then disappeared to the east within another ten, leaving about 3" of snow, and bright sunshine again.
Very odd...like an April shower, except with snow.

We still have some snow-capped mountains this end. This end means North Wales. It has been a sunny day here, although cold. We hope for the days to get sunnier and warmer in the time to come.
