I always used to chuckle at a sign on a dirt track at the back of the place I worked at years ago that said 'CAUTION: ICE AND SNOW IN WINTER'.

Most years, it proved to be correct too....

The ice pack in the south pole is expanding despite so-called global warming.
How can that be?
Ask a gloal warming scientist why & they will reply 'Errrrr, dunno mate'.

It's all bo**ocks.

When you say "ice pack in the South Pole", do you mean the Sea ice or the land ice

It's just the press being their usual sensationalist selves. Unregulated and out of control just as much as they ever were. Makes you wonder why that spineless c**t Cameon bothered spending all our money on Leveson!

lol, okay

what about the ice on the land mass (the south pole is after all a continent)

and the amount of ice contained on land ice vastly outweighs the sea ice

what's that doing?

I believe the sea temperatures in the southern ocean have been steadily rising.

although I am sure the practitioners of anti-knowledge will being trying to find graphs to prove otherwise

lets see how they do

plenty of science to explain the (counter intuitive) increase in sea ice

On the East side of Antarctica it is gaining in land ice each year. Sure the west Antarctica is losing ice, but it looks like this is more likely to do with volcanic activity than man-made CO2. The level of melting on the west cannot account for the huge gain in sea ice.

NSR very cold winter plan:

Equip winter tyres on your car.
Leave expensive watch at home in case you slip on the ice and fall on it.
Take measures to ensure that the pipes don't freeze in your BTL 'portfolio' properties.
Turn up the heating on your swimming pool another degree.

There is no pleasing you lot is there? If they said it was going to be sunny and it snowed you would moan, if they say it is going to snow in winter and it doesn't arrive you moan

Sure, those articles talk about the Thwaites Glacier a relatively small part of the west Antarctica ice sheet and the potential of volcanic activity to accelerate the decline

The simple inescapable fact is that the widescale reduction of the ice sheets is due to the warming of the south Atlantic

Spend the winter months at your little holiday home somewhere in the Caribbean, whilst carefully managing your stocks n shares from your laptop by the pool?

Fancy popping over?
You can put your one man tent up within the 4 acre garden if you like.

Sounds like a plan.
