Paxo vs Silvio

Paxo vs Silvio
Last nights Newsnight is brilliant. Not sure if it's on the iPlayer though.
Thank f**k we don't have Berlusconi in charge. Perhaps the most unintentionally funny interview I have seen in years. Silvio is completely bonkers and out of touch with reality.

Except Millipede doesn't f,uck underage prossies (AFAIK) Not much Bunga Bunga on the labour front bench
===========
Yes Berlusconi is a joke but he is right about a lot of things. He would probably be an outstanding politician if he had his dick cut off and he paid some tax
============
As it happens I was interested in Paxman's chat about Syria and why British citizens should be jailed for going out to join the war against Assad. I know it's a complex issue but I am not convinced we should criminalise our citizens for going to their birthplace to try and stop their families getting massacred.

I'll miss Paxman when he's gone

To truly understand Berlusconi you have to understand the wonderful madness that is Italy and the Italians
One of the most incredible countries on this planet (despite the madness of Berlusconi)

Well that weakens the argument of course but almost certainly they will have close family members out there. Remember that if the circumstances had been slightly different then it would have been British troops out there fighting Assad.
Brits going out to Spain in the civil war is sometimes mentioned in this context and they were treated as heros. I am ashamed to say that my knowledge of history for that period is not strong enough to say whether the Spanish situation is a fair comparison.

Further to my thoughts above should I be classified as a criminal if, on a moral whim, I went out to Nigeria to fight Boko Haram?
Thank you JT.
