personalised plates - which one's ?
I am thinking of getting a plate for my scooby , but after finding one I like it says it can only go on an 08 car (SCO8###)
What plates can go on my 02 bugeye ? Is there an easy way to search , as in can I only pick from a certain prefix ? Its confusing me

Surely you know about this....
You can only have a plate that is older than your car. So it will have to be ##02### and before and that includes all the old registration types where the reg was the first letter.

The DVLA website has it all there - google DVLA and Personalised Numberplates and there you are .....
Type in your Car Make:- Subaru
Model:- Impreza
Type:- STi Type B, D, C, R, A, 22, P1, etc.
Age:- 02
Engine Size:- 2000cc
Hit "Find Plate" and there it is - a list of all the numberplates you can have, together with the spacings needed to spell words, fonts which make it look nice, and even where to put the screw heads to make other letters ...... it's staggeringly powerful, no need for you to trouble your little mind really ....... in fact ....
It's CHAVTASTIC!!

I am not saying you're going to do it but it is 'chav' to try to make a plate represent something it dosen't.People go to silly lengths manipulating unsuitable plates. They end up with a load of nonsense that only means something to them.
It is the same as a cheap imitation of anything expensive.
If you can't afford or aquire a classic plate e.g ABC 123 , something that actually spells what you want e.g. ELV1S or something clever you have spotted e.g. POO 9ONE seen on a pluming van, then why bother?

Well I want something that looks like Subaru or scooby , but as any of the sites I go to only let me search by key words , the results that come up none of them can go on my car.
But hey , if anyone thinks it's chavvy they dont need to worry themselves.

I used to own S600 BYJ , I bought it when private plates were not really popular for £150 , sold it few years back for £1k , and bought D8 JHN (my names John) from some rich bloke up in Scotland who was giving back his Porsche 911 turbo company car and needed to sell the plate quick , gave £150 for it , some plates are close enough to be obvious and that's acceptable , if you need to stare and think about it to work it out then it looks ****

lol some people must have been watching a programme called "keep up the appearance" too much lol, chav or not, who care, as long as your heart is at the right place, just clam down, relax and enjoy, life's too short.

Why bother with the expense of getting a good personalised plate.
Far easier & cheaper to change your name to suit.

And many would argue that putting a Cossie reg on anything other than a Ford Escort or Sierra would be wrong.
No, it's to stop them thinking it's a Mazda 3.

It's just that Chavs are sometimes so stupid they ask daft questions ...... oh, hang on a minute

Do you even know what chav means ? Actually , don't answer that , you've made it onto my ignore list so I wont see your answer. Maybe i am a chav , is that any of your concern ? Its not a daft question either . I just wanted help from someone that had done it , and as you haven't , I dont know why you even commented.
Found the answer to my own question , different website gave me the results I was after. I won't reveal the answer to my "daft" question , I'll let anyone else that needs to know to come here to give some of you condescending dicks something to talk about.
Un subscribed , goodnight :-)
