If people want to spend their money on a number plate and it makes them happy then good on them!
Not my thing but some of them are pretty suited to the car or have made me chuckle.
Remember seeing a clip about a number plate auction in the Middle East where a guy was talking about how much he would pay for the number plate 1, he said he wouldn't pay more than 15 - 20 million.......

I am not saying you're going to do it but it is 'chav' to try to make a plate represent something it dosen't.People go to silly lengths manipulating unsuitable plates. They end up with a load of nonsense that only means something to them.
It is the same as a cheap imitation of anything expensive.
If you can't afford or aquire a classic plate e.g ABC 123 , something that actually spells what you want e.g. ELV1S or something clever you have spotted e.g. POO 9ONE seen on a pluming van, then why bother?

MY daughter used to have an MG ZR. Got a plate from DVLA for £300.
M600 CLM.
CLM are her initials so a small space on the 6 and some judicious spacing leaves MG 00 CLM.

My one BMW addict work colleague was to buy a mint Beemer from a car dealer, but when she drove past it again, she noticed that the number plate said TW4 T. She decided to leave it.

I also saw one mint black Merc on the lay by on my way to somewhere one evening. Another distinct feature about it was its number plate, not to be missed. It said ICE, and that's about it! I thought it must belong to some famous musician or some top-of-the-game famous DJ. Anyway, one night it was right behind us for a couple of miles, and stayed within the speed limit. But as soon as we hit the bypass with 70 limit, that Merc just left my VW for dead! Then I spotted it waiting to get in at the gates of a mansion in our village. It clicked to me then that it is one of the Iceland supermarket boss's car. Bleddy pikey , JC would call him!
