Apologies to Marv & Paul, but:
It certainly wouldn't be one of my famous 'Tour o'Derbyshire' events using those 2 particular hazards.
I think there has been an incident every time the Manifold tunnel has been used, surely it's just not worth the risk? IMHO the Manifold valley roads are far too narrow and busy with tourists (even this late in the year) to have a bunch of Scoobs 'enjoying themselves' down there
Tissington ford can be dammed dangerous when the water is high, the rocky surface under the water is far from smooth and I'm surprised nobody has been stranded in it yet. I personally avoid driving through it at all costs.
If you are gonna use the title please make sure you adhere to the same principles I used when compiling the safe and successful Tour o'Derbyshires over many years.
In general I would not use roads <4m width (as denoted on OS map) or involving bad junctions and other hazards if they can be avoided easily. There are plenty of decent enjoyable roads in Derbyshire, and just over the border in the Staffordshire moorlands, to have a thrilling days driving without causing undue risks.
You may say 'bah humbug' but I think, as the originator of the Tour o'Derbyshire and having organised many such events, including tours of the finest roads Wales and Scotland have to offer, that I am more than entitled to my opinion.
Rant over, I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable day.

the tunnel and ford were in the last one and no incidents at all, its hardly the organisers fault if people drive in a stupid way, even after being told at the start of the day
