tell the bf to keep it off boost until API checks it over if you're worried about the engine

Thumbs up API

Stew911

I used API for the first time for a new clutch, I'm local to you, and I found David and API very good. I will be using API again as I was treated very well and they have a good set up, big place. Its just down the road M40 I think it took me 30 min first time.

If your cars knackered, I think they are part of the recovers service as well, they will send out a truck.

Good luck

Dawg

im in birmingham and have recently used API for a full service and cambelt change on my my00 wrx, looked at many posters opinion of them before i decided to let them loose on my car,and i wasn't disapointed with the service they provide, very knowledgable about the cars, and extremly willing to help, had a good chat to David about proposed mods to my car,and he deff knows his stuff, and they are very competative price wise...... a few points of note
1) having to travel some distance to get good service is not a problem,id rather do that than go to some local monkeys that could poss cause some severe problems
2) API being chock full of work also says a lot about how well they are regarded by subaru owners, when i was there a constant stream of guys and gals showed up,all welcomed with a smile not a growl
3) book in for a sat morning check over...... get a free bacon buttie that way lol
scoobyclinic also have a good reputation, but from where i am API is closer

martin

sam,
not sure as to the cost... a quick phone call to David would sort that out,i remember a lady with a RA turned up when i was there not sure if the car was genuine or not,and they put it straight on the ramps to give it a quick once over, also depends what sort of check you would req,a full inspection or just a diagnostic check of the engine to see if thats ok? as i say they are very helpfull though and will do all they can to sort you out,a phone call osts pennies and could save you a lot more than that in the long run
