Anyone fancy camping over for NBO 3?
It's gotta be asked Had great fun during NBO 1 & 2.
Typically we drive to a camp site close to Lightwater Valley on the Saturday, do the camping, BBQ thing Saturday night Amble the very short distance to the event, walk about and recover, say hello and then drive home late that afternoon.
So there you have it, Camping Saturday 12th June, NBO 3 on the 13th. Kinda a cool weekend if you ask me
Who's in?

Argh! Yet again, I've managed to book a holiday on the same date as the NBO. Next year I'm going to have to plan a bit more carefully...
Ho, Mikey, where you been hiding then?

Charlie, thought we could go go the scenic route, you know, Via Bournemouth
So any other takers?

Well it's only 8 weeks to go till NBO3 so I thought it was time to resurrect this thread
Plan will be similar to last year, meet up at Tibshelf Services (or possibly Woodhall for the Chesterfield/Sheffield lot) on Saturday 11th about 10:30 and have a nice drive up via the Peak District or the North York Moors.
Camping at the excellent Sleningford Mill campsite in a reserved area, a BBQ or pleasant walk to the local riverside pub followed by a few more beers
Sunday, get up late, suitably refreshed and drive the couple of miles to Lightwater Valley, avoiding all the crowds coming the other way
So who's up for it?

What was that other one we did for Muppet Camp Mikey? Apricot/Mango & chilli or summat
Had a little run up the North York Moors on Friday (via the M18) I reckon I could get a decent route out of that, or do you want to see what you missed last year Mikey

If you are coming Boomer that will be 6 cars
More than last year if Mikey remembers to come!
With cw42 & co we should have enough for half a field, and be able to set up a decent BBQ like last years muppet camp
Salad anyone?

Spose i'd better be getting some sort of organising head on here
Right then, as far as beer storage, food storage etc etc etc is concerned, stock yourselves up with the booze that you think you are going to drink and double it Stick it in a cool box/bag and the rest will sit in the shade when we get there The same for food, however see if you can bring summat "interesting" for the BBQ as well as the standard burgers/chicken bits and sausages.
You will also require some kind of BBQ, two or three of those disposable ones are fine and between us a few bags of charcoal. The BBQ's tend to get lit early on and then stay on all night so folk can nibble as they please.
Obviously you will require a tent, some chairs (Those fold up ones are cool) andif you have a Gazebo of some sort, they rock for later in the evening when it gets a bit chilly.
Charlie, the route is upto you old boy, you know me, I'll drive anywhere for a giggle.
R.B it would be great if you could be bothered to turn up
Wrx Bill, bet I can eat more than you
Flat, what are you coming in (or hoping to at least )
Charlie, was it campsite called Slenningford mill?
