Wicked Wheels 07974 707278

I had the 18" Meister alloys on my Evo 6 repaired a few weeks ago, and although the cost was £75 per wheel, I am 100% delighted with the service.

The wheels are a two piece split rim and I had them repaired and repainted from polished alloy to anthracite.

Mark from Wicked Wheels collected 4 wheels from my office on the Sunday morning and returned them the following Wednesday afternoon.

My personal experience of this firm is quite excellent.

Question

I think the reason why my wheels were expensive, was due to the fact the outer rim was polished chrome and they needed quite alot of preparation before they could be painted.

PS To replace the 18" "Meister" alloys would have cost £1,600!

PPS I am chuffed with the results.

PPPS I am loaded

I've just had an alloy refurbed at A1 Wheels in Bilston. They charged £65, and the wheel looks brand new now.

I'd highly recommend them for the job.

With these refurb thingies, do they just sort out the cosmetics or do they actually straighten them up aswell?

Mine are a tad "egg shaped" after 55,000 miles worth of the odd pot hole etc Not a masive problem in its self but over 70mph you can feel the wheels vibrating in a way that just ain't healthy due to the balancing being out.

'Egg-shaped' LOL.
I seem to remember you had some sort of 'egg-shaped thing on one of your tyres as well once upon a time.

Called wicked wheels and they are doing the job monday. quoted £50 per wheel. He has not done a MY03 model yet though so will have to mix up some paint to get the gunmetal colour. He seems pretty confident he will get a good match though. Let you know how it goes

did they say how they would do the repair ? i.e Do they spray the whole wheel or just the damaged area ?

Reason for asking is I curbed my Pff-7's the other week. The scratch is approx 1.5" long, so I don't really want the whole wheel spraying just the damamged bit

They usually spray the complete wheel but as my damage was just to the rim I chose to have just the rim sprayed. As it is the new gunmetal wheels mark was worried about the colour match but he mixed some paints up and to be honest you would not tell they have ever been repaired. An excellent service and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again. I was well impressed. Just for info to get the gunmetal colour he mixed subaru gold with a silver and hey presto!

Sounds good. The damage to my P-FF7 is also just on the rim (about 1.5" long), so hopefully they can do the same.

Only problem is I am in Derby and I think the nearest chap is in Coventry or Birmingham. They may not travel this far

Dunno will call em

Thumbs up

Try Scoobyclinic, been quoted a very reasonable rate and they lend you a set (If they have any about) while the work is being done so that the car isn't off the road
