Default Just Fitted Scoobyworld Sti Spoiler

Well I finally got my spoiler back from the paint shop and with the wife's help, managed to get it fitted last weekend. I love it, it's totally transformed the look of the car over the standard WRX spoiler. I can highly recommend the Scoobyworld Sti style spoiler over the others that I've seen. It's not cheap for a copy but it's very well made and a great fit.

Cheers!

You do have to drill extra holes although I initially tested the fit with just bolts through the 4 wrx spoiler holes and it didn't feel like it was gonna go anywhere, however best to fit it properly just in case.

There is a great step by step guide in this thread-

I also should say that although the thought of doing the job yourself probably feels quite daunting, it is a big old spoiler and you do have to take a drill to your bodywork, it really is pretty easy as long as you keep everything organised and don't try and attempt it on your own, as I initially did lol. You really do need someone to hold the spoiler in place while you fix it on.

Just buy a boot and spoiler from a breaker in the colour you need, or spray the whole thing, they normally charge around £250, then its genuine and no risk in the drilling (and then therefore subsequent rust)

Bit of a delayed reply here but....I wish I could have found a genuine Hawkeye STI bootlid and spoiler for £250 when I was looking! I scanned ebay for months and emailed breakers, and all the ones I found were between £450 and £750. There is one on eBay at the moment for £440, off an RB320 (No different to an STI one except for the sticker), and that's the cheapest I have seen.

I have to say that the Scoobyworld spoiler is a very similar quality to the genuine one, and far better than all the crap on ebay. It also weighs as much as the genuine one, so you need to upgrade the torsion bar spring thingies, otherwise-

1. The boot wont spring open when you pull the leaver, and 2. Because there is no tension on the lock, the bootlid rattles over bumps, very annoying, and 3. When your wife shuts the boot after getting the shopping out she will slam the boot down with such force that you will be standing there cringing at the battering your pride and joy just took!

Hang on a minute, did you mean £250 for the boot and spoiler or £250 for the paint job? Cos £250 is about spot on to have the bootlid and spoiler painted!
