Default Hi all, my previous cars

Hi guys,

A very helpful member suggested i post some pics of some of my previous girls. Im new to the forum looking for a classic type r.

But for now, here are some of my previous cars:

Fiat Coupe 20V 5cyl Turbo

Rover 200 2.0 Turbo

FTO GPX

JDM Civic Type R

MG Maestro Turbo (0-100 in 11secs)

Evo III

MR2 Turbo (303hp + 125shot of gas)

200sx

180sx

Chavtastic Rover 400 (the bodykit was not my doing!!)

Motec M800, 8 injector set up, GT35 + Gas

RX7 Turbo II

Skyline

Rover Tomcat Turbo (278hp)

Skyline Turbo 6 speed

350Z Nismo Edition

Thats around half of them, but i dont want to bore you even more heh.

Thanks for having me and i hope theres something amongst them that someone finds interesting. My favourite was the Maestro, followed by the Evo, The Rover 400 due to its pace, then the mr2 due to the handling.

Nice collection. And all nicely played with. Pretty sure that's a supra though
Skylines my favourite I think. How did you manage to stay facing forward in a 300bhp MR2?

Phew, im so chuffed they got a good reaction, on the evo forum all i got was 'sht, sht, sht' etc. And they think all Impreza drivers only like Imprezas, so i guess so far, theyre being somewhat hypocritical.

With regards to the MR2 facing forward, haha, well its a Rev3, so although it looks the same as the other mk2 MR2s, it has completely revised suspension (not just the bilstein dampers and eibach springs as standard, but the suspension components are entirely different). Any M reg onward MR2 handles like a dream. I have had a REV1 (H reg to K reg) Turbo and it was exceptionally scary!!

Thanks ever so much for the kind words.

My favs are the Evo and Supra, for me after the Evo 4 they look too much, but a nice Evo III is a great looking car. And manual 6 speed Supra's will always be cool (and expensive!)

As others have said though a good selection! I have some previous with a couple of the others, a friend had a 350 brake Fiat Coupe which was plain scary and I've met a tree whilst in the passenger seat of a 200sx a few years back!

ps. Rover Tomcat Turbo's, I think of these in the dark blue colour but with gold wheels, was this a special edition or am I just going mad!

The FTO..well, handled as good as my DC2 Teg, ran the 1/4mile in 14.8@100. Had all the toys and a lovely driving position. They do lose ALOT of power and torque if you run them on 95 which is a very common thing for fto owners. A short stroke v6 at 8500rpm is a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Huzzy, hehe, that was not the only one , luckily those mahle pistons were £25 each and readily available from Westwoods. Although over the years it happened twice(once due to a 50psi boost spike) the joy was you could whip the head off, drop the sump, hand hone the bore, fit the new piston and have it all back together for lunch.

Hey buddy,

To answer that and also Markb's query

There were a rare version whose plate always ended in FDH, on a N reg. 236 i think. So N236 FDH. They just had full options so Full leather cream or grey, 6 disc changer, climate control and a couple other bits ontop of the pretty cool stock spec of 200hp 180lb.ft, 1180kilos, LSD, Targa roof etc.

The FDH wasnt so much a limited edition but at the time the Tomcat was one of the best selling sports coupes in Japan, and they couldnt get enough of them, (there are 1000hp versions out there running a 4wd set up using parts from the NZ spec Honda Shuttle of all things) anyway, in 1996 Rover loaded a bunch of them onto container ships only to have them held in port whilst Japan defined their emmissions laws for that year, by the time they sorted it, the cars wouldnt pass so they were then unloaded onto UK soil again where they sat in storage for the 3 years. They were then sold off to Rover employees for 60% off retail price at £10,995 2 years on in 1998. Hence the very confusing V5s saying 'your N reg car was first registered in 1998' lol!

This was one of my FDH Tomcats (not the one above) -

And another -

They also did a hatchback version with the same engine, this one was very mildly modified to make 260hp

Or an MG with the same motor:

Thanks Jack very kind. Im a bit of a clean freak when it comes to bays. Plus we are stockists for various companies that help bays look nicer like pro alloy and samco. So that always helps.

I know that feeling. I lost count how many times a spun mine on roundabouts! Wheel spin in 3rd, in the wet, was worryingly easy.

Love it, Nice selection!

I've also has a massive selection of cars including a very modified Nissan Pulsar GTiR, very modified later RX7, modified Lancia Delta Integrale, Various race prepared mini's, lotus Elise engined metro GTI, VW Vento VR6, various Rover Turbo's etc.

My favourite car of all was a totally stripped out Maestro full race car I built for track days. Fully caged with Leda coilovers, blueprinted engine and more. Snapped a rod on that one and built another engine. Still wish I hadn't sold it. Was one of the best handling cars I have had. (Still being raced in the MGOC series today).
