Default 1995 Wrx Type ra

Just picked this up today, my 5th impreza and definitely the nicest drive. Pretty standard and clean for a 1995 car. Keeping it off the road till summer so ican give it a good clean up.
Got the car for £1750 which I tough was a good pie, 93,000miles.

Started to clean the engine bay

hi, looks nice. is that the 1 from tbm-international at south end on sea who advertise on ebay? recognise the wheels.

i'll be keen to see how you get on with it, they had few white wrx's over the last month, all clean tidy looking cars and not overly priced. I asked on here if anyone knew of them / dealt with them and got an "avoid" reply.
I've looked at their feedback and they seem to have many happy customers. any plans for it? you keeping it in its current form or any planned changes?

Yeah fuel cap is loosely on that's why it doesn't look flush, it is a nice example to be honest and they seemed like really nice guys. Got a dyno graph with aswell, running 281 bhp

Got £500 off the asking price! Nice one.

Was tempted by it too, was just too far away.

did you get to see any of the other scoobys they had, some look a bit sheddy especially that dark blue 1 with the orange everywhere inside and different coloured spoilers. coming back to your ra, last owner 10 yrs wasn't it?? is there much history with it...I might still keep them in mind....fair old trip from Derbyshire though.

Yeah there were some states there!! Mainly though they break them, but yeah I would definitely keep them in mind mate because he said there always getting classics in.
I just have mot certificates all the way back, and yeah last owner 10 years, it just needs a really good tidy up and hopefully should be worth a bit more in the future, nice to have a little project.

Not keen on the alloys and grill, but other than that it looks nice. Always prefer the pre facelift look.

I was keeping an eye on that car too but I wasnt brave enough to bring another car home (she'll murder me)
Is that an after market intercooler?
Ive got a v2 grill sitting in the garage (needs paint) and a better center console tray if you want it, I'm on the other side of Basildon.

Its okay mate I have sorted both things already . Yeah intercooler is aftermarket, its an ARC?? Apparently quite expensive.
Done a bit more this afternoon, I can see its going to be a lot of hours work!! Took the wheel off just to check brakes and they are ceased up so there all going to be done and ended up taking strut off to clean and probably respray. Also had wheel spacers on which went straight in the bin.
Does anyone know if these struts are standard for the ra??

Definitely not standard struts.

Get a set of KYB Excel-Gs on there - not expensive, and make for an excellent road setup with OEM springs.

Very nice.... good luck with the progress !

I used to have one. Miss that car so much.

I've been looking for another one and I did see this on ebay as well. It looked definately worth the money and will surely only appreciate in excellent standard spec.

Jealous

Regarding the grill.. Have a look on eBay for the normal sport or GL grill. Basically they are the same all grey finish as the Sti RA but they go for peanuts where as one listed for an Sti RA goes for a lot.
