Default Damage repairable GB270

I am new to this site purchased this gb270 before christmas i am repairing at moment and aim to have it on the road for summer.
I previously had a 2002 bugeye some years ago and sold my 2007 wrx hawkeye with only 7500 miles two years ago.
I have been running a nissan 300zx twin turbo down the pod for a few years and wanted something new.
I have bought this gb270.

My old subaru

Not a bad car the GB270.

Could make you a busy man and be costly, are you going to update this thread with your progress?

PAID £3650 for the car new wing £145 plus vat main dealers. Both offside doorskins wing mirror rear bumper boot hinges owe me nothing as i have a 2006 wrx hawkeye breaking for spares,i need a rear lip for the bumper i aim to get price off subaru tomorrow unless anyone can advise me where to get one from.
Cat D with 51000 miles full service history until 48000 a couple of days work but will owe me somewhere near 4700-5000 with paint the ridiculous tax price and a mot.
Struggled to find one for under £8000.

Question? did prodrive achieve the extra bhp through ecu tweaks, the suspension is different to my other hawkeyes plus blue springs and apparantly they have a quickshift box would be interested in picking someones brains for some info.
Not that keen on the rear spoiler but will keep for originality.
Run a Bmw 135i m sport,a Factory jcw mini R59,a van and company car this subaru is something i have bought to replace me nissan which i have retired to my garage so didnt want to spend over 5k for a car that will not be used that often unless it snows.

It's a shame it's registered Cat D.

The GB270 is fitted as standard with the PPP (Prodrive Performance Package) which includes an uprated ECU with a generic map and high flow exhaust. I am not sure if it includes an uprated fuel pump or not, but it chucks out 266bhp and 311ft lbs of torque.

The car is fitted with Prodrive springs, lovely things them. The rear spoiler is standard issue but if you don't like it bear in mind that they are popular items.

Some of these cars don't come with the GB270 interior, the popular examples are fitted with this.

Default SUBARU PANELLED UP.

I replaced both the doors as someone on ebay was breaking one with the same paintcode, the black ones i had off the subaru i am breaking initially i intended to use but buying the 02C ones saved painting the insides so i have put them on ebay for sale.
Subaru main dealers in wolverhampton claim they rang subaru and they didnt supply the rear bumper lip for the GB270 perhaps prodrive added it.
it is off to the bodyshop tomorrow to be painted

Tis a shame the leather was an option tbh, it sets the GB270 interior out from a standard Wrx quite nicely.

Looks good in the pictures mate, I'd have wanted the lights, trim, door handles and badges removed for painting though

Yes thanks for that i wonder why the badges are still silver when the rear end was painted.I wouldnt remove exterior handles unless painting the car a different colour.
I did take out the rear lights a few 8mm bolts if you look on the original pictures the original lights which have been replaced was gaffer taped up they need a good clean to remove the glue,i taped them off and refitted for prep AND G3
As well as foaming around door gaps, dust and g3 flys everywhere .
the front light and bumper was removed as the front wing as some bolts located next to it that cannot be removed with the bumper and lights in place.
Another car that was also painted this week Dont laugh yes its a MGTF LE500 the lights and badges are removed and perhaps i should of photed the subaru before refiitting the badges etc.

Good work that. Top marks for keeping it on the road rather than scrapping it.

Which number is it by the way?
