My first Scoob! 05 Blob STi, black
Just thought I'd put a few pics of my 1st Scoob up, I've wanted one for years and finally have one!
I picked it up on Saturday and can't wipe the grin off my face, lol
I'm pretty chuffed with it tbh. Its a 55 plate Blob Sti with PPP.
Sorry for rubbish pics but its all I've had time to grab:
One of the best bits, mileage 21k:
At some point its had an induction kit fitted, looks like quite a good bit of kit but my research tells me that I should probably take it off and put the standard airbox back (Which was included). It also has a bailey dump valve fittted which I might replace for standard (Although it doesnt seem to be making it run rough). Anybody got an idea what make the induction kit is??
I absolutely love it so far and I'm quite suprised just how hard it pulls compared to my old car (MK4 Golf R32) its a completely different beast
Theres a couple of little bits I want to sort but other than that I'm chuffed.
It could do with a real good machine polish at some point because the paint work is really swirled. I'd also like a splitter for the front and maybe some perrin wing stiffis, I've also considered a remap which may happen. I said the other day I didn't want to do anyhting to it but it looks like thats gone out the window already!!

Cheers for the comments guys. MPG shouldn't be too much of an issue as the R32 drank juice like it was goin out of fashion, lol! around town it was averaging around 20mpg so the scoob shouldn't be much worse, haha!

Looks very nice mate!
I am in a similar position as yourself, going from a mk3 VR6 to a Hawkeye STI and pick mine up this Sunday and I can't flipping wait!!
How on earth did you average 20mpg around town in the R32?! I am lucky if I get 15 haha and the VR isn't overly tuned!

Forgot to say I'm not too keen on the plate that it came with either so that might be removed, kind of wish it was WRC at the end instead of WRX. Do you guys think it will be worth owt? even if its just enough to cover the cost of something different.

Given it has had some minor mods and you don't say whether it has been mapped for them ... I don't know whether it is worth checking that it is fueling right .. More experienced people will know better than me .. but .. you could try taking it to a Rolling Road or a mapper simply to get that checked out - not to re-map ... although they could if the fueling is out .. certainly it would be a shame for your pride and joy to go pop - although I am by no means suggesting it will .. simply might be something to think about doing
Looks like you have RE070 tyres on there ... fantastic in the dry .. just watch it when they are cold and it is a bit moist on the road ....

Thanks for all the comments guys.
T20Driver: cheers mate. And yep I think I'm going to book it in with a specialist for a good check over and get some advice on the dump valve and induction kit. Funny you should mention the tyres it has crossed my mind that wet grip might not be great but the guy I bought it from also told me to take it steady in the wet/damp.
Kedlestone: if I do sell the plate I'll let you know mate
Nardoblue: Offft, can't believe I've missed that and even taken pics of the damn thing, consider it popped on a tightened up
cheers bud!.

^^ that splitter looks a bit odd to me from the side but only my opinion
as for your car op - that's lovely and I think the plate suits it - it's a wrx after all!
best colour as well

No probs, can't believe I didn't spot it tbh. It was definately tight when I picked it up sat so I wonder if it has vibrated loose. I don't think it will be on for much longer any ways
