My First Impreza. 1995 Import WRX
Picked this up about a week ago. Had a bit of an issue with a heater core but all fixed now with a quick bypass.
It's supposed to have bigger injectors and been remapped to 280hp but never trust the adverts lol. I'll have to get it dynoed one day and see what it's actually doing. The way it pulls feels like it has about a million
Still to do: Gold wheels, Red Mudflaps, and sticking stock springs on the back so the front and rear are the same hight, A number plate bracket so I can have a centre Jap style one.

You can only have a jap style plate if your car was registered prior to 1999 in the UK, otherwise you are on a UK type plate only, but she looks nice, take it she is an STI v2? would be 275ps out of the box basically if it were.

No it's just the WRX. Previous owners have been trying their hardest to pass it off as an STI (It had an STI wing and stickers all over it when I bought it) I'm taking it back down to what it was originally.
About the jap plate. Little known clause is that you can run one if running a uk plate would "cause sufficient modification to the car to fit at sufficient cost to the owner". It's how I've ran around with a jap plate on my mx5 for 2 years.

Found this
"All number plates must meet standard size for lettering and style (with the exception of imported cars that were not designed for UK plates and have a functional reason for not using standard size plates)."
Just to add it currently has a stick on plate (which it's had on for 6 years) these are suppose to be illegal but police don't seem to care.
What is legal seems to be different to what police care about.

Shame i am not at work (been off with a bad back), have the full document will everything you need to know about numberplates actually quite a good read, most of what the police pull you for now is the ANPR not being able to read the plate, thats when they hammer you, but you can be pulled for having the incorrect plate type too, hence my 3 imports have all had standard plates fitted, gives the police something less to pull you for

That's what I got on my MX5 and it's not been pulled over yet and flown through MOTs.
