rota grids fitted finally :)
HI ALL, been on the forum for a while, thought id post some pics of my subaru impreza sti widetrack 2005 . alloys finally fitted , like to thanks SLEIPER STI for supplying his alloy wheels...

It's the 'stretch' on the tyres. To achieve the concave look on the rims the wheels are wider than the standard fitment. The tyres are kept to a standard width (so not to foul the arches) then stretched to fit the rim. this results in the rim sticking out. It's probably also the reason why the car is so far away from the kerb (even though it's dropped) as that's how I would be parking it next to any kerb.

Choice of wheel I'd go for too, look lovely.
Have you a pic from the rear straight on, so as to see the wheels poking out?
Its a fine line with suspension settings to get them running with no rubbing I think.
With the stretched look is fast road driving not the thing to be doing, witht he rims sticking out so much?
I'd really want 235 or 245 tyres on, but then the archs would need lots of pulling/rolling wouldn they?

i will update the pics next week mate... as for 245 tyres arch roling a fair bit tbh, i got 225 on and it was rubbing a fair bit.

So how do you solve the rubbing when even running 225's?
Raise the ride height, more camber,fold & pull the archs?
Does it now make the car a cruiser and less of a country road to rocket?
