Default Got some new wheels

Well, I got a set of 18" OZ Prodrive wheels on Friday afternoon and have spent the entire weekend fixing them up/painting them!

Got them for the bargain price of 13,000 baht (260 quid) with tyres! 2 were shot but 2 were ok, Bridgestone Potenzas too!......couldn't believe I got them for this cheap. At one point I was considering buying some second hand ones from England and sending them over here because I've never seen any here before.

Gotta say I'm really pleased with how they look now. When I got them 2 of the wheels had been kerbed really bad so I got the good old polyester filler out and refurbed them myself. Painted them with rattle cans (gotta say the quality of the spray paint here is much better than the crap you get at Halfrauds, at a fraction of the price).

Here are some pics:

Gave them all a good sanding first and repaired any scratches or kerb damage.

Then a couple of coats of primer.

After that, the metallic black base coat.

Then on with the top coat.

Had some OZ stickers made up............and finished!

looks great mate, nice colour

thats a crazy looking house, first i thought you'd done it in your kitchen and then you see the scooter, you then think he's got a tiled garage floor and then you see the picture where you can see the stairs. Thailand - explains it, I love it mate

Thanks all! Yeah the exchange rate has changed a lot recently.
The tiled floor is pretty sweet but it's a bit of a bugger to keep clean. Thai people are pretty crazy about tiles, so they're everywhere in my house.

Look good fella

I did this to a set of my old wheels from silver to white, but I didn't mask up the tyres

I used Vaseline instead!

Similar basis to masking tape, but easier to get round the wheel lip. Then all you need to do when finished is just to wash the vaseline off
