Default Today ive mostly been......................

..................fitting my FMIC

Before hand i was undecided on meshing the front bumper but now its fitted i think it needs it aswell as painting the supplied bumper hanger..........Also whipped of the aircon pump and gubbins.

Now waiting on my SC46 then off for mapping she goes...

Oh and the engine is filthy, haven't got round to cleaning it yet...

Looking good, I need to get my pipes painted/powder coated when I get her back. I meshed my bumper, makes a huge difference

looks good mate, personally i like it without the mesh.

Black pipes look cool mate. I put an extra bit of silicon on the pipe next to the oil cap, mine was touching, is yours? don't wanna scratch the lovely pipes.

Its a Japspeed kit......Ive fitted a few different kits to various classics but fitting one to my bug was by far the easiest, no fitting issues at all....My only gripe is the new bumper hanger that comes with the kit had distorted when it was welded/fabricated.

Cost was £220 but i had to buy a silicone hose to the throttle body because it doesnt come with one, only a tenner.....The pipes i had powder coated at a cost of £40

Very nice bug ......like mine

You might think about a heat shield to stop the hot air from the engine going into the induction kit

It looks easy to fit a FMIC to a bug/blob than a classic. Nice tidy looking job there

It's a really easy job on the newage, don't need to remove the front wing to route the pipework

Is there much bumper trimming needed? That's the job I hate the most.

There's a bit, but it is quite straight-forward, just trim a little at a time and refit unless you want to cut quite a bit out and mesh it

looks really well imho

does anybody have any views on the powder coating and thermal disadvantages it may have/cause . is core powder coated or sprayed ?
when getting mapped can you record the intake temps if available to copare to factory tmic ?

is it possible to jus spray (not powdercoat) fmic and keep it efficent ???
