Default Project stealth pics, Manual converted!

Hi guys & gals

This is my new stealth family mobil. I purchased it because A. I love scoobies & B. I have a husky that's needs more than alot of running around lol

She's very nice as it is, however feels old inside and needs a 5k makeover

The shell was resprayed 2 years ago, but not rust treated so signs are showing. I have included any major pics of rust etc to ensure you get a better insight of my progress. As you can also see, the paint is extremely shiney ( it really is lol ) and the engine bay is in superb condition for it's age. Just has nasty touches!

Currently, the modifications are small. Below the current list :

It has a bloody loud 4" system turbo back, haven't stuck my head underneath so unsure of make at this time, will find out soon.

Inovit redline alloys ( brand new )

Lowered 30mm suspension

HKS mushroom filter

Full manual converted

Pillar mount boost gauge

Remote start, turbo timer, full system alarm

Skirt spats etc

Sti v2 fog covers

I think that's about it really. Definetly had a remap, as shes very quick for a wrx.

A few pics below :

Hi,

Thanks for the comments so far!

In regards to the makeover, I have a bundle of things...

I have a forged redtop engine going in
Full version 6 facelift front end
Full respray including full rust treatment
FMIC
Remapping
New springs & coilovers
2005 sti front seats
Flocked dash? maybe on that one
Guages & commanders

Theres so much more really. My 5k estimate is seeming to double lol will be done overtime so im not worrying about it just yet.

I have a replacement tailgate im picking up this weekend, along with facelift grill, sti rear seat and centre console hopefully as mines cracked due to abuse from previous owners.

I have crystal head and sidelamps on route, along with carbon centre scoop. May sell the wheels at some point!

Ta mate,

I want everyone to know it's a scooby from any angle. Im not a fan of these aftermarket kits that make it look like a space rocket! it needs to look like a scoob! im focusing more on power, reliability and handling modifications really. Hoping to get between 350 - 400bhp at the end of it. Be the fastest mobile kennel known to man

U'll need , gearbox to cope, brakes, turbocharger ? suspension stiffenings, roll bars, braces etc., the list ,might never end thought. But IMO the 1s ive mentioned u'll defo need for it to behave with circa 400bhp.

Looks really good in black, wheels look great too.
Car looks in great condition apart from the rust bubbles but I suppose you're gonna fix them up.

Will be an interesting project for sure!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the great comments, in regards to the performance upgrades, it's definetly going to be an expensive, ongoing project lol however it's something I cant wait to do!

The paint is stunning condition with apart from mentioned, barely a mark on her. No dull spots anywhere.

I have ordered some bits, and they have arrived today! I now have in my possession :

Version 5 bumper
Carbon fibre lower splitter
Carbon centre bonnet vent
Facelift crystal head and sidelamps

Here they are on my floor at home

Sunday ( tomorrow ) I am picking up a new tailgate as with the rust that has now kicked in, I am sure when I spray it it will happen again. I pick up my rust free tailgate tomorrow. It's then going to be sanded down, rust treated, primed, and stored until the car gets a full blow over.

I am also picking up a facelift honey comb grille, and hopefully a facelift bonnet.

So far so good ( need to stop buying for a second though as getting carried away lmao )

Sti lights are a good call however, I have a tail light suprise in store hehehehe.

I will keep this link updated the more I get for the scoob also, take notes of what I remove from her, bumper, lights, foglamps off v5 bumper etc, if theres anything you want from there it's eventually all going up for sale!

More info and pics soon!

Hihi,

Been a busy day today.... Originally I wanted a full facelift version 6 interior. A good scoobynet member kindly pointed out that the front doorcards wouldnt fit because of the upgrade dashboard shape.

Slightly cheesed off, I came up with a great idea lol......

Armed with a 10mm spanner, phillips screwdriver and ***** of steel I eyed up my wagon....

First the glovebox area....

Then onto the centre console area ( That had snapped so pulled it off )

The to the odometer etc....

I would like to give a persoanl thanks to the plonkers that installed the alarm system.... instead of following the run of the loom, the decided to go up and under, then crip the wires into there specific plugs.

Causing me to have to snip 3 wires in half just to release them from the dash. ( Cheers for that guys )

Anyway... upwards and onwards... 3 hours later

So there we have it some would say im mad, I would say im keen to make this 1994 wagon stand out from the rest! Im going for a flocked version 6 dashboard. and everything else I need

So far so good!

Quick update as we end the weekend...

Drove to birmingham today to pick up some new bits for my wagon. Purchased an sti tailgate, complete with sti spoiler. That eliminates the one I have with surface rust around the spoiler! ( seen in the first pics )

Also,

A new aerial, mine got nicked. A facelift grill ( just need bonnet and facelift is complete ) that's meant to be being picked up friday.

And.... a complete sti rear seat. Im going to either flock the doorcards, or put black and grey early sti ones in so they fit! Piccies below

New dashboard on route hopefully!

Cheers

Beautiful wagon mate Im going for the dark rear lights, love the stealthier approach. I was going to go for the tinted crystal lamps and side repeaters but I think the crystal clears look better.

My calipers are currently gold so there being sprayed black shortly. Just going to see what it looks like once my wheels are back on. Will eventually upgrade brake system anyway, but for now we will see

Default Huge Update.com!

Hi guys,

And hi to all who are following my thread. I have had a good go on the scoob saturday as this was the only free dry day I got

I have managed a few changes to the front end, aswell as a touch on the rear

Oh... Also the interior is about to become somewhat different lol. Here is my update so far :

Starting slowly with the light, and light covers and bonnet..

Then Grille, etc...

Then off with the full front end...

Few wiggles of a 10 and 12mm spanner, a few F's and Jeff's, Here we have it.

Shall I stop? No, sod it

Back seats out, along with grubby carpet...

Mid process of swapping tail gates...

Sti rear seats now in!

Picture of her new ***

No rust, no scratches, no dents, and genuine sti mechandise!

Now... Moving on to the interior... Quick call to a flocker...

Me : "Hi, can you flock a few things for me please?"

Flocker : ""Yes of course, what would you like?"

Me : "Erm, got a pen?"

Flocker : "Yup"

Me : "Ok, I would like flocked the following.... The lower level of the dashboard, the glovebox, all 4 doorcards ( including speaker covers ), all inner trim panels ( Middle Columns etc ) Centre console from rear ashtray, all the way to cup holder, and a few more little bits"

Flocker : "****, nice list. Yea no probs, drop it all in saturday, pick it up when im done"

GREAT! So that's it so far guys, im flocking almost the entire inside so that it suits my sti rear seats, and spec C front seats. Should be fresh, and rally like at the same time! Keep you updated peeps.

Next mod in line, FMIC.
