If anyone (with a badge) asks, this is from Germany, some unknown guy driving Don't ask.

And as a picture, I think it's awesome photographic quality. Too bad I don't have a clue who took it

There used to be a website for these kind of pics, you could submit the photos and the guy posted them up, there were all sorts of crazy pictures on it, for the life of me I cant find it but if anyone knows what it is Id love to know.

I hit 145 (briefly) in my STi V5 on the M40 (was clear early morning) and must admit that I think that Scoobys are too light to feel secure at those speeds. Cross winds sway the car too much. Obviously a heavier saloon like the M3 fairs better. The grip from the Scooby is brilliant though.

My advice (not that anyone cares) is only ever hit these speeds if the motorway is totally clear. Even then, remember that the stoping time/distance is unbelievable even if u have a 2 grand 6 pot kit. The risks from people changing lanes/rabbits etc can lead to disasters.

Plus its just not worth the risk. If the cops get u, u'll be going home with them as they'll ban u.

Be safe out there guys and enjoy what the Scooby was built for 0-7mph

Cool

You know,

1) The faster you drive, the less fuel the car has time to consume!

2) Scoobs don't really require any steering at modest cruising speeds

Red face

I was a passenger in my own R34 couple of weeks ago when the guy driving hit 170MPH, it was still pulling but then so was my sphincter.

Excuse the picture quality I had to still capture the footage off my Mini DV. Might capture 30 secs or so of the top end of my P1 so u can download..... the suns shinning and the scenery is cool.

This was I on the way back from Monaco last summer.
Still had nearly 1000 revs left at 160MPH.
Reckon it could do 168MPH ish.
Got nicked doin 150MPH about an hour later....... gave them there 1000 Francs with a huge smile on my face . The friendly policeman was more interested in my P1 than nickin me.

Now, that last picture surely is worth a quotation competition?

You sure look like >< this close to wetting your pants. If it only works for you at high speeds, I'd say that's a dangerous perversion...
