Default My new'ish scoob. .

Ok had my car for about 6 weeks and all going well. Was looking for a wrx but knew id regret not spending more and this came up at the right price for a 05 Sti PPP.

Had a few goodies, BC coilovers, drilled and grooved, afterburner vortex and an all singing and dancing head unit. Main plans are a remap just to give it the once over and get some gauges fitted 'as you do'.

Anyway pics. . . apologies it was a bit dirty and long story. Friend in his MX5 turbo went to a car control day and I went to 'watch' and take photo's. . yeh never lasted and soon goot out there for a few goes!

Hope you all like.

Scotty

Thought id do a little update on my car had it a while now and no updates.

Added a HT Autos diffuser which I think is subtle but adds a little something extra? Also chose to rivet it into place rather than the nuts and to put a few extra ones for safety. Just got to paint them black.

Anyway the pics. . .

Before..

After . .

Than I also got myself a few other goodies. Perrin stiffies and a tegiwa tow hook.

Just a dilema at the moment as in 2 minds to sell or keep. Had a range rover before and TBH kind of missing the copious amounts of space for family etc. Specially with a wedding and week away near Scotland end of July. May need to get to a few garages see what the chop in damage would be against an X5 or RR L322. Know il get bent over on trade in or may put it on PH? Whats people thoughts?

Anyway failing that and convincing the wife to get one then plans will continue as normal with this!

Scotty

Car looks mint, don't sell it... instead load it up as best you can and get up to Scotland. Then early one morning when the wife is asleep sneak out and take it for a blat across some good Scottish roads... then you'll know why you haven't got an X5

F1 fan - now their is a fine idea but 5 of us going so scoob will be staying safely tucked up where she normally is that week!

JonMc - thank you trying to keep it simple. If she stays will be getting flaps, splitter, tints at the rear and that's about it don't want to spoil her.

Still really tempted to get another RR just miss it! Just unsure although I I stuck to my guns would like to hope I would get mid to late 7's low 8's for her as she is or does that seem a bit unrealistic?

Just put 12 months MOT on it this morning flew through.

In no rush to change just got a hankering for another RR or try an X5. Will keep my eyes opened and if one comes up then this will be sold or chopped in. Shame but may happen in next couple of months.

Thanks for the comments.

I really like the diffuser, although something relatively small makes such a nice visual difference.

Just thinking of a fair price and will be putting it up for sale soon. Going to pay up (of course!! ha ha!) so will see it on here soon.

Thanks for the nice comments.

OK so eyeing up a few additions to the car but thought I would try and do a decent cleaning job due to it being back of the pile for weekend to do lists for quite a while!!

Now nowhere near the level of the pro's or some on here but tried my best!! ha ha

Not best and no after close ups but did tidy it up ALOT!!

Onto cleaning and afterwards to get her out the sun got her in the carport. Anyway here is the rest to final job. Like I said amateur by hand try and took about 4 hours but still room for improvement!!

Also sorted out the mudflaps too all aligned and looking 8)

So not a bad way to spend a Saturday! But eyeing up more goodies. Mainly cosmetic but will be venturing down the power route soon enough!

OK so a few little updates that ive meant to put for a while. Had my second set of mirrors through from JMCarbon and these fitted fine this time. Passenger one fits better but happy with it and the look.

Anyway heres a few pics of the gauges and mirrors. Few little things still to be done before I look for more power!!

A few of the mirrors. Was taken this morning so car wet and also not been cleaned for a week!! EEEK!!

And a little video of the gauges. Excuse the double start up was showing them lit then thought id start it. The closing ceremony for some reason keeps changing too so keeps me on my toes but all working as they should and im happy!!

So what you think? Il be getting a carbon top spoiler, either hawk or scoobyworld style. Some different rims and a slight rear and side tints!!

Wahoo!!

Cheers Jon its taking longer than i intended to get bits done but I blame the wife and 3 year old for that!!

Thats the one, or carbon hawk style that F1 CJE UK has on his car from JMCarbon. As quite like the look but still not 100% sure on it. Still in no rush as next round of additions wont be till after xmas now.

Oh and your respray sir looks second to none and come up a treat! You must be over the moon with the finished job!

Lovely looking motor there. J keep looking at those mirrors to go with my splitter and root top spoiler but don't want to loose my mirrors being electric.

Love the rear deffuser and wing stiffies, they are my next mods for sure.
Well done

The mirrors aren't that much of a big difference. As to be fair I set them when I got the car and not adj them since. Even when the other half drives the car they were left. Only thing il miss is the heated aspect but she is t used that much anyway.

That spoiler does look good. Will be a toss up between the 2 beginning of next year.

The stiffies are a good mod and look nice too.

Thanks for the nice comments still more to go then will be looking for a nice fast road set up of anything between 360 and 400 although sure that will change!

360 to 380 is what I am going for, with a 18g, Harvey ported headers and matched up pipe and a few other supporting mods. After a nice quick road car with not much lag. Got a few of my bits already so hopefully early next year.

Ok mate. But I might go FMIC as well because I do love the look, but I think that will be last on the list. Good luck in your build to mate.
