BC's Fitted.
So due to the knocking rears mounts, a general replacment/upgrade was needed.
BC's coilovers were fitted, as most of you will know it makes a massive difference to the car, regardless how fast you drive it, even 20mph round a roundabout its a flat as a flat thing, and with the fast road set-up also added turn-in is improved hugley too.
Its on about a 30mm drop from standard, so I'll see how that goes, and set on the middle for the stiffness 15clicks from hard.
Before:-
After:-
Thought the front flaps would scrap, but theres still a good inch of height left:-
These look good I think, easy enough to adjust, have the rear extenders to be fitted later, as they were missed off the delivery, they'll be done with the rear camber links too, as I couldn't get the camber I needed, just ran out of adjustment on the standard ones.
So all in all I'm very happy with them, looks and handles so much better.

Even as standard the rears always have the appearance that they are lower, its level front to back I believe.
Mine are set to:-
front 690mm
Rear 660mm.
Seems fine so far.
The tyre writing only lasted a week or so, as I needed new tyres, thought I'd try it......it was s**t lol.
Its a firmer ride, but not bumpy atall. I'll tweek the stifferness when I get the rer extenders on, see how hard/soft it can be.

Very nice mate, I would also say the rear looks to low, would it not be better to raise it slightly so that the front is lower than the rear?
If you coming to the next meet can you take me out want to see what there feel like, Im 99% sure now that all the knocking noices etc are my shocks.
I wanted to wait till after christmas to get them but im wanting them now and thinking i may have to put them on the plastic

If I raise the rear the car will have a nose diving look to it, and sure it would effect the handling?
Guess it looks more extreme as the whole car is lower, but it was the same in standard form, the rears always had a smaller gape than the fronts, I measured it before they were fitted:-
Front arch to the top of tyre 55mm
Rear----------"------------ 30mm

Looking good!!
I will be looking for a similar kit for mine, what fitment are the MY05 cars do you know.
(ie do all blob eye ones fit, or do you have to get hawkeye ones, or is fitment specific for that year)
As for the height differences , all Scooby's and EVO's are set up to handle best with a bit of negative rake.
It looks a little odd, but it is how its meant to be.

I see what you mean about the rears, but the car as a whole is level, surely thats the right way to have it?

So if I raised the rear a tad, it will look unbalanced in a different way to how you think it does now
Why should it have the "slight nose attitude"? or are you only talking about a small amount, say 5mm or so?

Do you recon if I raise the rear, also raise the front so the car remains level?

ahh right yeah I see yours is the later blob with the arch extension parts on the rear, it could be the pictures that make it look like its sat lower than it actually is.
I would have said leave the front as it is and try lifing the rear just a touch and see how it looks, if it looks aweful then you can easilly drop the back down again rather than have to set the whole car again if tha makes sence.
heres a pic of my hatch with the bc's fitted Different version I know but it might give you an idea what they look like

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "nose down" attitude improves stability at speed.
I think the front needs to go up a tad (min. 5mm?) and the rear somewhat more to give the proper stance.

Whether it because of the rear wider arch's dont know, all I can go by is that the car is bang on level.
I could raise it 5mm or so, to match the front, but dont want that front end pitch look.
Your car Rob is nice and low, do you find it ok on the roads?

Looks great Darren, mine are 335 rear and 360 front (both measurements from hub/wheel centre to bottom of arch). Settings were by Powerstation plus a extra 10mm drop all round.
