Default Project scene scooby

Hi, new to the forum as i only just got my first scooby. One thing you'll notice with me is that i like to be different, and my car ideas tend to be a bit mad lol.

Only ever had one other car, but some of you may recognise it from FastCar magazine (full feature upcoming! ) So expect more of the same lol

Right, now onto the scooooby. Its only a sport, non turbo because being 19 (and 2 weeks) the insurance would have been insane
Its nice and tidy, 2 owners from new, 42k on the clock, no dodgy noises or anything. Going from the mad clio to this its just soooo comfy and soft and floppy lol.

Then got around to fitting my new interior

Then got new wheels on, Volk TE37's

Then de badged and took spoiler off too

Then covered fog light with yellow film, but going to take it off i think cos i dont like it lol

Not bad for 2 days work Exhaust should be here tommorow aswell, so hopefully fit it tommorow or friday really cant wait to get that boxer burble

Got lots and lots more planned but got to wait until the clio sells before i start going mad

Coilovers area must!
Nice steering wheel
Flocked dash
Rollcage (if funds allow, maybe in future!)

Then going to really go nuts i think, thinking of maybe rusty bonnet with roofrack? Just a quick thought but we'll see what happens

O, and got these beuties on order too:

Fronts 8.5x18"
Rears 10x18"

Think im gonna need some insane camber to fit them lol

Yeah they are tiny, 7x16" all round Only got them because they were cheap. Tempory measure until the steelies are sorted.

Its all about getting the right mix between tyre stretch, camber and arch rolling to get them to fit. Managed to get 9J steelies on the clio with no arch work, but i think this will be even harder lol

Nice, certainly a breath of fresh air.
Not my cup of tea, but a lot of my mates are into the Dub/Euro scene.

Assuming your sport is one of the 4WD ones, you cant really run different width wheels front to rear, might be different on the higher poweer ones, but worth looking into before potentially doing some damage?

As for the Coilies, where are you located as i am looking to downgrade to standard suspension. Poss looking to do a trade for cash+old setup if you are interested.

Would it have been cheaper to insure a Turbo instead insuring a Sport with all those mods?

Anyway looks a good project keep up the good work

Looks like a cool project. I've gone the same route with my Newage. I really think you're going to struggle with the width though, unless you run epic stretch and flare the arches ;]

I run 8.5 front and 9.5 rear (currently 4degrees of camber with a 25mm adapter but going to 35mm soon) and it's 'a little tight'.

I matched the rolling circumference of front and rear (so you don't knacker the centre dif) by using different tyre dimensions, but you could also go the EffSixSquared route and convert it to RWD

Re: the exhaust, what have you got? If you want the burble you'll need an un-equal length manifold too.

Also, get yourself on http://www.imprezasport.net for more Sport chat :]

Keep us posted.

I'm a good Friend of Tom's, he surely does do some mad stuff with his cars, as is obvious when looking at the pic's of the Clio!

I don't think you should follow the Euro look...... Any way, went out for a spin in it today, drives smooth, absolutely mint other than the tiny wheels lol, I'm sure it will be totally different next time the pics are up though!

Certainly some different ideas, and they do not seem to include daft bodykit so top marks to you

You will need a lot of arch rolling / pulling and mad camber to fit those wheels. As per previous replies, as an awd model, you should really have the same size at all four corners.

The Volk TE37 are one of the best wheels around imho - where did you get them? 16" is too small though

OMP Corsica dished steering wheel and flocked dash... sounds familiar..

Although I have the medium dish rather than the deep dish so my arms aren't tucked up too much. Be careful getting a steering boss that actually works for it. I recommend the Works Bell kit that you can get from lhdjapan.

Right not much progress for a while, with being on holiday, but the clio has now sold so got the money to go on this

Got the exhaust finally, but the center pipe was so rusty i had to buy a new one of them aswell lol, so now got a Hayword and Scott decat center pipe + 4" backbox to go on....should sound quite well

Nardi drift Steering wheel is on order, should be here tommorow or weds, got the boss too

Waiting for a reply about Cusco 6 point roll cage (going to spray red if i get it)

Steelies have been on, and then sold lol (for a profit )

Now looking at getting some BBS LM reps with a bit of a dish. Rep BBS center caps, red wheel nuts, red valve caps. Going for red accents

Get these ordered once the Volks have sold

New gear ****...

Then sprayed rear lights all red, makes a massive difference! especially for £10!! So much better, and beats paying £150+ for some STI ones lmao!! Also fitted rear Tegiwa tow hook that i got for £25!

Starting to take shape now

And also looking for some cheap coilovers to get it loooooow. Found some, maybe purchase tommorow we'll see
