My big ends went at 153k Now gearbox gone , today at 162k. SH*T. Bought the car 128k unmolested miles from a "lady" blah blah

looking sweet congratulations mate, as long as you keep up with regular (good quality) oil changes there aint any reason why you wont have a few more years out of your scoob before you need to do anything major

Clock passed 224,000 yesterday. This is a mix of km + miles + around 10 months when the speedo stopped working (which somehow fixed itself!).

Well over 200,000 miles though (150,000 of those driven by me ), still on original engine & gearbox! MY93 WRX - not doing too bad for a 17 year old car, but the rust is really getting stuck in to the rear arches

That is amazing, specially for an import as their engines seem to let go earlier.

My UK MY97 daily driver just passed 152k on original (slappy) engine. Had two gearboxes tho. Spare engine waiting in the garage for the inevitable day. Just don't ask about the wife's Scooby tho. Will get round to it one day, honest

mates at 168k miles no issues, lot old uk legacy turbos surpass 200k no issues.....

just passed 121k had engine rebuild at 92k no idea about any other parts only had car 3 months

151k here , i got it at 108k put a new cluth in it then .
