Default A few pics of my V4 Type R...

I don't usually post up many pictures but having recently took my 2.35 Type R to North Wales with a friend in his 350Z to sample some of the roads, I thought I should at least share a few

A5 between Bangor and Betws-y-Coed is stunning. The tunnels along the *** between Conwy and Bangor are good fun for noise too.

Also sampled the famous EVO Triangle between the A5, A543 and B4501.. all stunning roads. Unfortunately, we were too busy planting the foot to take many pictures so here are a few just before the corner of the A543 abd B4501.

Despite covering the distance from Essex/London up to Conwy. Then back down the A5 to the Triangle, the cars are still looking pretty clean at this stage!!

A few of my interior...

Bespoke SPA gauge pod. Huge thanks to the SN member who arranged to have this made. Thanks to Phil (TingTong) for flocking and putting up with my endless PM's. Red buttons are the resets/menu options for the gauges.

Obligatory engine shot... Huge thanks to David, Nathan and the guys at APi for putting it together. Bob Rawle for mapping.... Truly a monster on those roads!

Awesome car mate! I do still think they look better with new shape rear spoilers, but thats just my opinion [iv got a carbon fibre one and love it].

How much did the flocked dash cost u?

New shape..?? From a bug or blob or the later classics (V5/V6)?

It did have a V6 GRP replica on it. I removed it as the GRP has a rubbish finish and the rest of the car is flawless. I'm not a fan of the big spoilers but I would have kept a genuine V6.

My favourite spoiler on the classic is a V4 and I have purchase a genuine V4 to go on (the car is a V4 so makes sense). The carbon wrap is only there to cover the mess - whoever put the rep V6 on used No Nails or similar until I have saved the pennies to have the bootlid and spoiler painted.

Flocked dash was second hand from mattybr5 but flocked by Phil (TingTong) on here. He regularly had flocked bits for sale in the private for sale section.

Car looks stunning as usual mate. Such a well specced and complete example. One of my favorite classics.

The gauge pod looks great... Almost looks like it was made for the job

Thanks for all the kind words chaps.

Despoilering does seem to split opinion. As above though, a genuine V4 spoiler (mid level one) will be going on once I have saved the pennies for the one I brought to be painted along with the bootlid. I'm just not a fan of the big spoilers as they make classics look back heavy imho.

The V4 is the most proportional and go with the lines of the car. I'll be sure to post pics up when I eventually have it done.

I stuck with the MD321T in the end. A case of running out of funds and I hadn't actually experienced the true potential of the T due to the previous running problems.

It hasn't actually been on a rr but estimated at around 440-450. The seat of my pants dyno certainly reads fast . The great thing is that the engine can handle a much bigger turbo if I ever get bored and decide to go for it.

Cheers Stevie... David, Nathan and the chaps have done a superb job with the engine/details and also helped me out with lots of little questions post engine build. Nothing too much trouble, however small. Really sets them apart...

Thanks

Completely bespoke item. The 'ears' are my idea and a friend helped arrange for it to be designed / made. I'm not a fan of A-pillar pods or the triple pod so decided to take a different route. Very pleased with the results.

I knew you would like the despoiler look . I think it needs lowering at the rear again after all that weight has been removed .

- I think I'll pass this time thanks.

The lowering comment was actually a tongue in cheek comment about the excessive weight of the super large GRP V6 spoiler.

I have no interest in lowering it anymore

Cheers Lucko!

Matt is a good lad, I also wanted the Advans off that car so I could fit some r888's on them and use them as track wheels, but I was a tad slow.

I can see where you guys are coming from with the rb5 wr spoiler, but still a little big for me. V4 would be perfect although I still have a small lip spoiler in the garage as well...
