Hi guys I'm new!
Hi everyone I'm Faiz!
I live in Uganda but I go to uni here in England.
I've always looked at the pictures on here but figured I should join.
Anyway I've had an Impreza for quite a while but it was my dads
but he gave it to me last November so I've started trying to mod it.
Its a 93 Turbo Jap spec, I'm not sure of exact power but maybe you guys could help me out on that one!
It has a WRX sticker on the back but I'm pretty sure they didn't make WRX's in 93..Or did they?
Here are some pics;
and one of mine and my best mates;
So I've done a few things to it;
STI straight through rally exhaust
Speedline rims with Pirelli P Zero rally tyres
HKS ssq dump valve
Monroe rally shocks
And it should be getting a chipped ECU and painted orange/black in the next few weeks.
You can see that it is really high off the ground but the roads in Uganda are rubbish!! (or perfect depending how you look at it!!)
Look;
I wanted to say hi and basically ask some questions as long as you don't mind!! Would be awesome to get it faster so I'm all ears!!haha
Would love to come to some meets and check out some scoobys.
I've got a Karmann Ghia here though. I love aircooled VWs too.
Unfortunately theres no way I'd be able to afford the insurance on a scooby in this country!!

Welcome The standard power of your car on 97 ron fuel is 240ps or 237bhp.
First upgrade is to get an ecu off a later 95/96 model car, those are 260ps or 257bhp standard, and then see how that runs.

I can get a second hand ECU from Uganda so I'll try that out.
The engine is where all my money has gone!!
Then these are the rims that will be going on soon when I finish polishing all 4!!
I love it!! Needs to be painted though. I bought it with those colours so its gonna go satin silver with red interior and hopefully a turbo.

Oh man that looks gorgeous!
Thats going to be a rocket!
What sort of power are you expecting?
With a 2332 and that gearbox you'll probably set some nice times down santa pod.
Probably beat most scoobys!

Those valves are huge!
I've got some 044 round ports too
but mine are 90.5mm with 40x35.5 valves.
Haven't actually fitted them yet.
I'm guessing you're going for IDAs.
Its gonna be a beast!

Now that the cars been raised the roads are fun!!
I used to hit the ground everywhere before.
So guys I'm going back soon and I was wondering if you could tell me of
any mods to increase my power?
I'm going to change the ECU as Tony said but are there any other
basic mods I can make to get a bit more power?
What about turning up the boost? Is that a bit dodgy or can
I safely run the car with the boost turned up a bit?
Lots of questions!
But any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Sweet! You going to any shows?
The rims are fully polished I just need to get tyres.
I bought a Red 9 Design coil over kit which drops the front end 2-4 inches
so i'm gonna slam it hard!!
Then spray it. This will all be done in 2 weeks if everything goes to plan!
Cant wait I think its just gonna look awesome.
