Thanks for the kind comments, helps make it worth keeping it that way.
Its actually the first clay its ever had!! Meguiars clay bar and Meguiars Tech Wax. Paintwork feels like glass now.
However, its never been out in a UK winter and has been garaged every night since I bought it 7 years ago.

Very nice looking car
- a million miles better than my door-dinked rust-bucket! There's not many of the pre-face lift classics looking that clean these days

Great result there. If you're smitten by the detailing bug try the Werkstatt acrylic kit. It really brings out the fleck in metallic silver.

Sadly most classics are only worth what they fetch in parts these days. Mine has some nice bits on it, so up to £4k if broken I guess
But thats never going to happen
Unless I became unemployed I suppose.

From wash to final removal of wax, about 4-5 hours.
I stress that the paintwork was good to start with. The clay bar is great, but its not a miracle worker if you dont have a good base to start from. I also didnt need to remove any tar spots or dead insects, which is a process all on its own that would have added a fair bit of time.

I could easily have face-lifted it over the years, but people will then assume its an MY2000 due to the condition of it and I dont want that. I am guilty on the late spoiler though, which I couldn't resist.
