So true - I was really surprised when I saw it in the metal for the first time! Was expecting it to be huge!!
I think it's just the stance / ride hide that give that impression...

Looks good, but not the look I'm after for mine...after a more subtle look...
Not a big fan of the large bezels on the STi units.
