Default Evo 4...Nearly, read on.

So after scratching my head for a few weeks deciding whether to buy an evo or another scoob i arranged to go and look/buy an evo iv off the mlr up near the lake district. So after arranging a lift of a mate whos got a bug wrx we decided to go up sat morning with the intention of buying and me driving it home, the car had a lot of engine work done the owner claiming it was 400bhp with no graph to prove ( i was very very skeptical ) and immaculate . Now in the pictures it did look good it even had the v interior which was also a plus as the iv,s is gash.. Cut a long story short the car was quite tatty, he hadn't even attempted to wash the car bearing in mind that a potential buyer was coming to look / collect the car alarm bells where ringing right from the off. He wouldn't even let me test drive at first even with the 5k in his hand and i had to clearly explain that if i didn't test drive it i would'nt be buying it. Now don't get me wrong the car was quick but it wasn't 400bhp quick, my old sti was around 300bhp and there wouldn't be much in it. So basically i was gutted that it didn't live up to expectations but a good thing came out of it, i got another scoob on the way home! Its a bug with the blob conversion and i am really happy with it apart from the wheels ( some black 18s going on soon ) it pulls really well is definately no slouch and such a nicer ride / place to be than the evo was.. It has a custom manifold, tsl panel filter, and exhaust still with cats though..

Comments welcome..

Looks great as it is - the gold wheels contrast nicely on the sonic blue colour of the car
