V7/V8/V9 STI seats in a classic
Hi people,
I have a set of STI V7 seats in my classic.
I was wondering how people who have the same have tidied up the rear of the seats particularly where they show above the the parcel shelf.
Any pics of your work would be appreciated.

i fitted a set to mine, but i wasnt happy with the higher driving position. i modified the back of the rails and made up new rear brackets which substantially lowered the back of the seats. unfortunately i have no pics of the modified rails or the top of the back seat and wont get any for a while as my car is buried in my garage in pieces. i will post some as soon as its mobile again
my space between the shelf and seat just covered in black carpet.

always felt that the newer seats never 'held' you as much as the classic seats, does lowering the seat help at all with this??? seem to be a lot more newage seats for sale in better condition than classic..............

I used a length of foam pipe insulation from homebase, cut it to size, covered with black cloth and then squeezed into the gap.
Worked a treat.
The driving position does take a bit of getting used to but imo transforms the inside of the car.

massive difference.... feel more like a bucket seat now with the back end lowered. im 6' 2" and they defo support the back of my legs more with a better driving position.

I was going to remove the shelf and form a piece of wood to fit the gap, attach it to the shelf and re-cover the shelf, but your idea is far easier and looks great,.
Thanks for posting.
