Default Just Tried A New Car Shampoo

Well, went to wash mine and the misses car yesterday but I'd run out my usual stuff (Mer Super Advanced Shampoo), which I've been using now for about 5 years and thought I'd try a different brand, so I bought some Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner.

Got to say, really impressed with it

Took some photos (using my phone), they aren't the best, and I'm no David Bailey thats for sure

Cheers guys

Thats from a jetwash with just water, then using the shampoo attachment and hot water, then went over it with a mitt, then rinse with jetwash and then chamois dry... DONE!

No wax or plosh, just the shampoo and chamois

Hi, have been using meg's for a couple of years now , there 3 stage polish
1. paint cleaner
2.polish
3.carnuba wax
leaves an amazing finish , i always use soft water too , that also seems to make a difference

thats pretty amazing. I live out on the sticks with very hard water so i was advised to use the Megs NXT shampoo, does a great job of lifting the dirt but i have to say it leaves the car looking rather dull in comparison to your pics! Your cars look the ticket!

Anyone here used a clay bar?

I was thinking about it but wasnt sure if it was just a gimmick?

Used the megs clay bar on mine last week but didn't get time to do the three stage treatment afterwards. It removed all sorts of crap from the car. Things I have learned about clay bar though, keep the panel wet and don't use it on a hot panel. Simple as that really!

As already said, the megs stuff is good, particularly for the money. The clay bar followed by the 3 step polish gives a brilliant finish.

megs is brilliant on dark colours, especially black- royal blue. but tbh i did not rate it on my silver (crystal grey) 06 sti. i found the best finish for my colour is the autoglym hi-def wax. (imo).
