Default £10-15k to spend but on what?

I have had my RB5 for about a year and it seems to be having continues problems one after another. Iv decded if i get myself a newer Impreza it should be more reliable.
I have thought about V8 spec C, V9 spec D.

Opinions on the various option's welcome.

Out of those two cars, which are VERY different, if you want the best reliability the 2ltr in the Spec C is your friend.

I'm pretty sure there are no Spec D haters- it's just everyone has their own preferences. Spec D is a great car, just very different from a Spec C.

Very nice looking car..... just a shame they chose to put the wrong engine in it!

It is likely to become my second car as I now have a place to store it come winter time.
What makes a spec C different?
What about a Litchfield type 20 mk1 (A V8 with the 2.0 litre)

A brief list of what makes a spec C different (based on an 04 version):

Alloy boot, low level spoiler, no side skirts, no bumper winglets, no boot lining, no sound proofing, no HID's, no headlight wash, lightweight battery, crappy single horn, larger turbo intake pipe, improved intake manifold with tumbler delete, roof vent, quick rack, quick shift, 12 litre intercooler water spray reservoir with auto/manual modes, oil cooler, larger radiator, up-rated fuel pickup system, different springs/shocks/ARB's, different front sub-frame lengthening wheels base and giving greater static castor, roller bearing twin scroll turbo giving earlier boost, 8000rpm redline.....

The Litchfield type 20 has AST coil-overs, whiteline ARB's and anti-lift kit, milltek exhaust and re-map and is based on either a regular JDM STI or spec C.

And yes I do have a very nice MY05 spec C WRlimited for sale currently

https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...05-spec-c.html

I love it and it will be seriously missed
