Noob - WRX PPP Blobeye
Well I traded my tuned 1.6 Swift Sport in for a 55plate WRX with Prodrive pack.
Its only coverd 23k 1 owner full service history n all that usual stuff, but it had been in storage for 2 years!!!
Took me 2 days to get the paintwork nice and smooth as it hadn't been cleaned in over 2 years, so it was covered in some seriously rough sh*t.
Fitted some 4300kHIDs and LED sidelights, replaced the WRX badge with a Prodrive badge, put Silvertec indicator bulbs in the rear and fitted some rallyflapz!
I might De-Tango my headlights now too
Got a few mod little mods to come, STI spoiler, Vortex Generator and Defuser for the back, The front will get new top n bottom grilles and a front lip. Other than that it will be staying pretty standard, as I found it bloody difficult to find a Standard Scoob with low miles and in good nick. S hopefully keeping it pretty standard and clean will pay off with the resale value when the time comes.
Here's a few pics...
How it was from the dealers
How it is now

The car cost £8k (was up for £8995) traded mine in for £7500, but they let me keep my tax disc to reclaim that, which was another £100 on top. They gave it a full service and everything and MOT and it needed new pads so they did them aswell.
Got it from JCT28 (M1 junction28 mansfield) Its mainly a Ford RS dealers, but they have a few scoobs in as well.

I'll be ordering the STI spoiler this week, just getting some quotes to get 1 sprayed up.
It came with a 30day warranty, I could have bought 3-6-12-24month warranties from them, but there is loads of companies like the RAC and AA doing warranties now too.
I bought the car with the agreement that my mechanic gave it a good going over and if he found anything wrong I could take it back and the work would be sorted or I could have my car and the money back.
Its a great car, absolutley loving it at the moment. IF i drive it steady i can get about 40mpg so Im pretty impressed by that as well.

Thanks Will
I only fitted the HIDs yesterday and it was pissing it down last night so I didnt bother going out to get any pics!
The HID mainbeam makes the Halogen Hi-beam look pretty yellow/orangey next to it. I was going to go for the 6000's but I've been dazzled a few times by cars with 6-8k HIDs before so I wanted a much crisper white look.
They're pretty simple to fit (was going to de-tango the headlight while it was out too, but didnt have time) The only mod you need to do is cut a hole out of the centre of dust cover to get the cables through to the ballast pack, but its then covered by a rubber bung.
Hopefully I'll be getting a few pics tonight, my mates just bought a Evo9 GT so gonna go out for a blast and get some shots while we're out I think

De-tango'd
I've gotta say, its a massive improvement, really suits the silver car. Why did Subaru bother with the cost of addin a silly bit of orange plastic lol

I wouldn't go throwing all the STI accessories on it, a few can look good, too many make it look like an STI wannabe.
Debadging the boot is a cheap and easy option, you might want to try that? I took the 'Subaru' letters off mine. It tidies up the end quite nicely.

I'm not chucking any more STI parts onto it now
The STI spoiler arrived this week, and is getting painted up next week, so should be all fitted up by next weekend Gonna take a few months off buying things for the car now, going on holiday next month so want the extra pennies to spend out in Cyprus.
The only other new thing is I've just ordered a underseat sub, I was gonna buy 1 of these for my swift, but never got round to it. By chance I found the sub I was looking at for HALF PRICE on fleabay, so I couldnt resist it!!! Never been a fan of BIG ICE and just want something to give a little more THUMP and take some off the strain away from the main speakers
KENWOOD KSC-SW10 POWERED SUBWOOFER WIRED REMOTE CONTROL on eBay (end time 17-Sep-09 11:33:35 BST)
I'll update pics as soon as the spoiler is fitted
